New Years and Reflecting on 2010

Basilio and I had a fun New Years! We went with my parents and his parents to see True Grit and eat dinner at Alamo Drafthouse. Afterward, we went over to my parent's house and played dominoes and watched the classic New Year's shows. I was excited/amused to see the Backstreet Boys performing! It was also awesome to be able to kiss my HUSBAND at midnight. I'm still getting used to calling him that. :)

2010 has been such an incredible year for us. It's amazing to think of how many big events happened in this year alone...

March: Basilio proposed to me at the top of a mountain at the Alta ski resort in Salt Lake City, Utah. Such a great day!

May: I graduated from the University of Houston - Victoria magna cum laude. Yay! We had a mock graduation ceremony at my parent's house because the real ceremony was postponed due to weather. I enjoyed it more anyway!

June / August: Mandy (my oldest sister) had her third child, Melia Rose Dillard. She is such a precious baby girl and so fun to be around. She is so chill! I can already see her little personality coming through!

Megan had her first baby, McKinley Elana Hulse. She is such a cutie!! I love holding her and how she has such long arms and legs. She's a future basketball player! She has such an adorable smile, too.



July: After many, many, MANY applications and interviews, I got offered a job at Hubenak Elementary School in Lamar CISD. They offered me a 1st grade job (which was ideal for me!). I was SO excited because it was my top choice. My instincts weren't wrong because I have loved working at this school so far this year. The students, other teachers, and administrators have been so kind and supportive.

December: December 18, 2010. My wedding day was perfect. I knew it would be because I married a man who is so perfect for me.

WOW! What a year!! I can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for me and my husband.
